The Redhill Pinotage 2014, now a decade old, continues to impress with its remarkable depth and complexity. This recognition follows our previous success at the 2023 ABSA Pinotage Vintage Awards, where the Redhill Pinotage 2012 also received an Award of Excellence. These awards are a testament to the ageability of the cultivar, and these two consecutive achievements for Simonsig specifically attest to the enduring quality of our Redhill Pinotage.
Simonsig has a storied history with Pinotage, having been our first red wine released in 1970. Over the years, our Pinotage wines have garnered both local and international acclaim, solidifying our reputation for excellence.
The award was accepted by third-generation Cellarmaster Michael Malan at a ceremony held on June 12, 2024. Reflecting on this achievement, Malan stated, “This award is a reflection of our commitment to producing exceptional wines that stand the test of time. We are thrilled to see our Redhill Pinotage 2014 recognised in this way.”
