WHITE WINE Simonsig Chenin has more exotic fruits. Open and exciting. Simonsig Chenin Avec Chêne “Chenin with oak” has an intense ripe yellow apple and tropical fruit aromas with a subtle infusion of honeyed Botrytis and spicy oak Simonsig Sauvignon Blanc is a much more complex wine. Aromas like cut grass, fig leaves, gooseberries, herbaceousness, tropical fruit can be found in this wine. Simonsig Vin Fume – a lightly wooded SAUVIGNON BLANC. Pleasant sea smells emerge whetting the appetite for a juicy piece of fish. Simonsig Chardonnay – A full bodied, complex wine. Has a light smokiness with hints of limes well integrated with the wood from new, second and third fill oak barrels. Simonsig Gewürztraminer – Rose petals, turkish delight, litchis and spiciness aromas abound in this interesting variety.
RED WINE
Simonsig Pinotage – Luscious ripe berry fruit aromas Simonsig Shiraz – Mixed herb aromas, layers of white pepper, dried proteas Simonsig Cabernet Sauvignon – Black currant and mixed spice aromas and wet oak leaves. Deep complexity. Simonsig Tiara – A, BLEND Bordeaux style. Mainly Cabernet with Merlot. Aromas from both varieties well blended. Cassis, hints of dark cherries. Toasty wood vanilla and cinnamon. Simonsig Frans Malan – A BLEND, Cape style. Simonsig Redhill Pinotage - The nose invites you to a playground filled with black and raspberry fruit. The wood component plays hide and seek leaving a mouth sensation filled with tantalising vanilla spice. Merindol Syrah - Concentrated Syrah aromas of crushed peppercorns, dried proteas and fynbos combine with perfumed black berries on the nose.
