SIMONSIG’S CUVÉE RESTAURANT GOES ROSÉ FROM FEBRUARY TO APRIL

Tickle your tastebuds pink when Simonsig’s signature restaurant, Cuvée, goes rosé from February to April with an exclusive Chef’s Menu of rosy gourmet sensations created around the estate’s alluring Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Brut Rosé.

Each week will unveil a new combination of lavish tastes that epitomise classic elegance, style and pizzazz – the essence of Simonsig’s proudly South African Pinotage driven Cap Classique made in the style of French Champagne.

Cuveé has also introduced a new innovation into their standard menu by offering diners a choice of either a starter or full size portion for each of their dishes. Now food and wine lovers can experience a bigger variety of culinary creations without having to spend more at this popular Winelands eatery.

This eclectic ‘voorkamer’ with its unique décor and menu inspired by organic and locally sourced ingredients, always captivates with a quirky mix of nostalgia and an element of surprise. Imagine all this and more during the ‘Cuvée goes Rosé’ months.

These sumptuous Rosé indulgences will be available for lunch and dinner as a set three or two course menu ranging from R150 to R180 per head and include a complimentary glass of Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Brut Rosé.

To add more passion to the Month of Love, Cuvée restaurant will serve an exclusive three course menu on Valentine’s Day, which includes a red rose for each lady while their partners go home with divine chocolate Brut Rosé truffles. But if the urge to whisper sweet nothings in her ear is simply too great, why wait until Valentine’s Day if you can woo your loved one with a sensational five course affair at Cuvée on Saturday evening, 13 February.

Each of the Valentine’s courses is accompanied by a glass of wine, specially selected and paired by winemaker Johan Malan, from his personal vinotique. Think foie gras with fresh Karoo fig carpaccio and a flute of Cuvée Royale 2004; pink Scottish salmon with crisp Pink Lady apple wafers served with a glass of Simonsig Gewurztraminer 2006; or a black cherry soup with double Belgian chocolate enjoyed with a rare Simonsig Port 1985.

The Valentine’s Day 3-course lunch costs R280 per person and the swanky 5 course dinner R450 per person. Both indulgences include a flute of Kaapse Vonkel Brut Rosé upon arrival.

Bookings for the ‘Cuvée goes Rosé, and special Valentine’s menus are essential.
