  • Sandstone & decomposed granite and shale soils
  • Highest vineyards 260 meters (850 Feet) above sea level
  • Mediterranean Maritime Climate with average annual rainfall – 700mm (27 Inches)
  • Close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean has a moderating effect on the climate
  • 75% of the rain falls in the winter months, May to August 
  • Harvest time – February to March
